Home of Britain's Best Bike Mechanic and one of the friendliest faces in cycling — Scott Jones. With a wealth of cycling knowledge and decades of hands-on experience, you're in safe hands.
Cotswold Bike Works was established in 2023, following over twenty years of managing other workshops and forty years of riding bikes.
I do things a little differently from traditional bike shops. Having a highly autistic son who requires additional care has shaped the way I run my business, allowing me to balance my family commitments with my passion for bikes.
Based in a private workshop in Upper Rissington, Gloucestershire, I operate strictly by appointment, with no fixed opening hours. This allows me to give every customer a more personal service, with dedicated time and attention for you and your bike.
How To Book An Appointment
Simply fill out the appointment enquiry form at the bottom of this page, and I'll email you with a range of available dates to choose from.
My address will be disclosed on confirmation of your appointment. I ask for bikes to be with me at around 9am on the day of your appointment.
In most cases, your bike will be ready for collection the same day, unless specific parts are required.

Standard Service £125
Recommended every 3-6 months.
This service is required for replacing standard
parts like chains, brake pads and cables.
- Full bike clean using Muc-Off products.
- Bolt check to manufacturers torque specs.
- Full drivetrain degrease.
- Gear alignment and lubrication.
- Brakes safety checked and realigned.
- Tubeless sealant refreshed.
- Ceramic coating and tyre dressing.
- Itemised service notes.
Standard Service Plus £150
Recommended every 3-6 months.
Everything included from my Standard Service,
plus
ONE
of the following elements.
- Tubeless tyre replacement.
- Hydraulic brake bleeding.
- Truing and tensioning of wheels.
- Servicing of bottom bracket.
- Servicing of front hub.
- Servicing of rear hub and freehub.
- Servicing of standard headset.
(Internally routed headsets on The Full Works only)
The Full Works £250
Recommended every 12 months.
Also use this option for groupset swaps, full / custom bike builds or finding that dreaded creak.
- Everything from my Standard Service.
- Full strip and rebuild of your bike.
- Electronic firmware updates.
- Hydraulic brake bleeding and set up.
- Truing and tensioning of wheels.
- Servicing of bottom bracket.
- Servicing of both hubs and freehub body.
- Servicing of internally routed headset.
Pivot Bearing Replacement £150
Recommended every 18-24 months.
Pivot bearings wear out, can cause excessive play in your rear end, make awful noises and even damage your bikes suspension.
Please let me know your bike make, model and year when sending your appointment enquiry so I can ensure I have the correct bearings in stock.
Collection Delivery Mobile
Collection and delivery is available for the following post codes at a flat rate cost of £25

Terms And Conditions
The only services offered are those listed on this website. All prices quoted are for labour costs only.
Appointment enquiry forms containing false or misleading information will be rejected.
Please note that I do not have storage facilities, so bicycles must be collected promptly once your service has been completed.
A storage charge of £25 per day will apply to bicycles not collected after this point.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact me with at least 48 hours notice.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in no future appointments being accepted.
